There are a range of commercial Real-Time Feedback Platforms available for HRM including (but not limited to!) systems like Mesh.ai , Engagedly, 15Five, Reflektive and PerformYard designed to bring the benefits we have discussed into the workplace.
Each has its own speciality and focus:
- Mesh.ai reckons to support top performing staff
- Engagedly has a reward focus
- 15five provides strong support for coaching
- Reflektive emphasises supporting performance reviews, and
- Performyard is designed to support more traditional management practices

These platforms need to become embedded within the culture of the organisation if they are to be effective. For example, if they rely on employee feedback then they need to make giving feedback second nature.
One method is to prompt managers and colleagues to give feedback or praise at appropriate times. Staff are encouraged to request feedback on the platform. Those requests are then sent to whoever they’ve requested feedback from. That may be their manager or a colleague they’re working on a project with. If the person delivering feedback forgets to follow through, the platform will ‘nudge’ them periodically until they do. That ensures feedback happens and happens often. Once feedback is delivered, it gets documented and can be used in 1:1s and at performance reviews.
They may use chatbot technology to create pop-ups to coach employees as they’re giving feedback, completing performance reviews, and writing goals.
In order to ensure that the tools are embedded within the culture and workflows of the organisation it is essential that the platform is integrated with the tools the staff use every day, tools like Zoom, Slack or Microsoft Teams.
